Local attractions

The Beara Peninsula is an extremely popular tourist destination. There is plenty of sights on your way to Josie's Restaurant. Dereen Gardens are just three kilometres away and Glenichaquin Waterfall Amenity Park is midway between Josie's Restaurant and Kenmare.

If you are touring the Ring of Beara, you will travel along The Healy Pass and can take advantage of the breathtaking scenery from the top. You will also travel through Castletownbere which is one of the largest fishing ports in Ireland and is also where most of the seafood served in Josie's restaurant is sourced.

If you are interested in walking, the Beara Way is a must while in the area. Glanmore Lake is just over 100 yards from Josie's restaurant and is the perfect location for a relaxing walk.

Kenmare is alsways bustling with activity and a great place for shopping.

If you feel thirsty on your way to or from Josie's, there are plenty of watering holes in the area includine An Síbín Bar, Lauragh, O'Sullivan's Bar, Kilmackillogue, The Sailors Bar, Killaha and The Lake House in Clonee.
